Vatsala Ratnasabapathy, head of our Construction, Engineering and Arbitration practice, will be speaking at the “Young Lawyers Forum 2025” held at the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) on 22 February 2025 (Saturday).

In a session titled “Pursuing a Career in Arbitration”, she will be delving into the opportunities offered by this fast-growing mode of dispute resolution and giving tips on how to take advantage of those opportunities, based on her own extensive experience in this field. She will be joined by Vinayak Sri Ram who will be moderating the session.

The forum is tailored for young lawyers, and also includes sessions on navigating a legal career in our rapidly evolving legal market, how to establish and grow a personal brand and network, mastering appellate advocacy, the art of cross-examination in civil and fraud cases, and discussions on setting up one’s own law firm versus exploring a partnership arrangement.

Attendees will have an invaluable opportunity to hear from YAA Dato’ Sri Hasnah binti Dato’ Mohammed Hashim, Chief Judge of the High Court of Malaya, who will be gracing the occasion as a guest of honour.

The sessions will feature distinguished practitioners such as DP Naban, Robert Lazar, M. Puravalen, S. Saravana Kumar, Lim Wei Jiet and many other learned practitioners. This is an excellent opportunity for any young lawyer looking to sharpen their skills and broaden their personal network.

The event is open to the public, though tailored for young lawyers with less than 7 years experience.

The forum will run 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. at the AIAC Auditorium.
