Malaysia

Our Senior Partner Vatsala Ratnasabapathy, who is a Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators and who also heads our Construction, Engineering and Arbitration practice, was selected to author the Malaysian section of this toolkit. 

Covering a wide range of topics such as whether Malaysia has ratified the 1958 New York Convention, the Malaysian courts’ stance on arbitration, the local requirements for a valid arbitration agreement, the form of conduct of Malaysian arbitration hearings, and many more relevant issues, we aimed to provide detailed guidance to any persons considering Malaysia as their seat of arbitration.
